Home-style Pinto Beans

1 16 oz. bag of pinto beans (soaked for 24 hours)
1 medium onion
4 to 5 garlic cloves
1 celery stalk
1 green pepper
2 T. oil (or 3 T. water)
1/4 cup Braggs Liquid Aminos
1 1/2 t. sea salt or Vege-Sal
2 bay leaves
5 to 6 drops Wright's All Natural Liquid Smoke
4 to 5 cups water

1. Chop onion, garlic, and celery and saute in 2 T. oil (or 3 T. water) in a large pot.
2. Add 4 to 6 cups water and 1/4 c. Braggs to the sauteed broth.
3. Rinse beans and add along with bay leaves to the broth.
4. Cook 2 1/2 to 3 hours or until tender.
5. Add salt or Vege-Sal and green pepper during the last 30 minutes of cooking. 
*If you need to reduce your free oil consumption, we recommmend that you use water instead of oil to saute these items.
